Short version: agensphere.com does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. We measure visits with a cookieless tool instead. This page explains what that means in practice and what would change if we ever add them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in comparable ways. They can be strictly necessary for a site to work, or used to measure visits, remember preferences, or follow people across sites for advertising.
What we use today
| Technology | Set by | Purpose | Cookie? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager script | A container for measurement tags. It currently runs no tags. | No | |
| Fonts | Agensphere | The site's typefaces are served from agensphere.com itself; no third party is involved. | No |
| Form timing | Agensphere | Our forms note, inside the page, how long they have been open, to filter automated spam. Nothing is stored after you leave. | No |
| Hosting | Vercel | Serves the site and records standard server logs. | No |
| Visit statistics | Umami | Counts visits, pages read and a few actions, without cookies or personal data. | No |
| Lead source (session storage) | Agensphere | Keeps your landing page, referrer and campaign tags for this visit only, so a brief can say where it came from. Cleared when you close the tab. | No |
If HubSpot's own cookie (hubspotutk) is already in your browser from another site using HubSpot, our forms may pass it to HubSpot with your submission. We do not set it ourselves.
Sites we link to
Pages we link to, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, our KEEL demo and our research arm's site, may use their own cookies. Their policies apply there.
If this changes
If we decide to measure visits or use marketing tools that set cookies, such as Google Analytics or HubSpot tracking, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time. Blocking cookies does not affect how agensphere.com works today.
